Online Safety and Safeguarding

Online safety and Safeguarding

Each academic year the "Keeping Children Safe in Education" document is renewed.

Statutory policies are agreed by the Trustees and Local Advisory Board, who oversee the standards, progress and compliance of the school. Please contact the school office if the policy you wish to see is not available on the HEARTS Academy Trust website.

All policies are available on the HEARTS Academy Trust Website

Parent Zone
The government has recently launched a brand new website to support parents. The website has being developed with ParentZone.

#DITTO is a free online safety magazine from esafety adviser, Alan Mackenzie. The content looks at risks, issues, advice and guidance related to keeping children safe online, with a view to enjoying and learning about technology.

We are proud to support the Breck Foundation as they drive the e-safety message to schools and parents. Lorin Bednar delivered a very powerful message to all Trust staff.

Cyberbullying
Are you worried about cyberbullying? Cyberbullying is when someone bullies others over the internet or on a mobile phone by sending abusive emails or texts directly or by posting nasty comments or humiliating images for others to see. Like any form of bullying, cyberbullying can be horrible for the children involved and hard for them to talk about. There is lots of information and advice on how to deal with it on the Internet Matters site.

Child Sexual Exploitation
We must remain vigilant around child sexual exploitation. If you have any concerns at all you can gain advice from Essex Police . You can also take a free online course to help and inform you at the PACE (Parents against child exploitation) site. See the links below.
